incomplete reps + intense music = MOTIVATION!!!

Snooped this off Tyler Rabin (The Beast, Spring '13).  Apparently gyms full of 'roided dudes doing 300-rep sets of so-partial-they're-barely-reps reps on mostly machines is somehow motivating.

As we all know, images of 'roided dudes lifting and posing set to dramatic, neo-classical music is a guaranteed motivator.  It's just how Mother Nature intended.  And Tyler threw a whole YouTube channel of it at the Collaborative.  Easily impressed: they name is EAT.SLEEP.GYM!
