There's something exciting, disorienting and enlivening about the first team meeting. Could be the excitement for finding the next great physique hero. Could be the pressure of trying to be a solid coach. Or could just be the million paper cuts I get from collating all the basic materials for the athlete notebooks.
It's a snowy, wintry day in Boston as this next team in a long line starts it's journey. There are a few who have to bail out because of the snow, but as with all team start-ups, we don't sweat the early attendances. The final roster for the Spring '13 team is a few weeks from being solidified. A little snow won't stop our progress.
I'm eager to share what happens with this new batch. A tighter team, our first run on Northeastern University's campus, and the first time in years that another team mentors a new team (Advancement Team '13 will be helping the stability, growth and progress of the new Spring '13 team).
Off into the snow I go, paper cuts and all, to meet with the next batch of leaders reaching their own Next Level.
